Who's eligible for free cover

Scout groups who hold our annual Scout Property and Equipment Insurance Policy, underwritten by Lloyd’s Syndicate Number 609 managed by Atrium Underwriters, can extend their cover to include event cancellation and abandonment and/or equipment cover for any Scout events in the UK during their annual policy period *free of charge.

What's covered

Our Small Event Insurance provides cover for:

1. expenses you incur for your event if the event has to be cancelled or abandoned for reasons outside your control; and/or
2. loss or damage to equipment you may use, hire or borrow
   • up to a maximum sum insured of £10,000 during the event period each for 1. and 2. above *free of charge.
   • for up to 15 days (per event)
   • anywhere in the UK including the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

*Subject to Scout Property and Equipment Small Event Insurance Endorsement terms, clauses, conditions, exclusions and warranties. For Cancellation and Abandonment, the cover must be taken out at least 14 days before the beginning of the event.
