The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacons

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations will take place across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth on the weekend of 2 to 5 June 2012. There are many ways Scouts can get involved, one of which is to take part in the The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacons project.

Unity (Scout Insurance Services) has been selected to work with Diamond Jubilee Beacons, the official organisers, to provide insurance to all the local organisations planning beacon events.

If your Scout Group, District or County is organising a Jubilee celebration, you are already covered under The Scout Association Public Liability Policy. Unity can also arrange cover for event cancellation, hired equipment and your Group’s money. Call us on 0845 0945 703 for more information.

Improved Scout Minibus Insurance

Not all Scout Groups own their own minibus, and therefore you may hire a minibus for camps and other activities. Getting short term insurance cover may have been an issue in the past.

Unity (Scout Insurance Services) can now offer you a solution with short period minibus insurance.

Unity can now arrange short period minibus insurance for Scout Groups for up to 3, 7, 14 and 21 days. This is ideal for groups taking a minibus either to weekend camps or on longer expeditions.

No more ringing around parents to find enough spare seats to transport your Scouts and Cubs to and from camp, when you couldn’t get a minibus because of insurance issues.
