What Do We Do? 

Unity (Scout Insurance Services) takes care of Scouting’s insurance needs, so you can concentrate on pursuing your Scouting adventure.

For over 80 years, protecting the assets, people, liabilities and activities within Scouting has been a way of life at Unity.

Unity is trusted by The Scout Association to protect you the Members by providing the insurance that covers accidents and injuries to Members and liabilities of leaders and trustees.

There are three insurance policies arranged by the Scout Association through Unity, under which Members are covered:

• Personal Accident and Medical Expenses;
• Liability Insurance; and
• Trustee Liability

We also provide a range of additional specialist covers for Scout Groups, Districts and Counties, which you may need to purchase.

We can cover:

• The things your Group, District or County owns;
• Events that you run; and
• Non-members associated with your Group, District or County.

In our 80 years, we have covered everything from:

• Buildings to bonfire nights
• Contents to camels
• Formula one events to fund raising events
• Night hikes to international expeditions
• International jamborees and moots to yachts
• Zebras to zorbing

All our profits are returned to Scouting.

Should the worst happen and you need to make a claim, we will help you through the process, getting you reimbursed as quickly as possible.
